Our Franchise

Training and Support

Building and training the right team to operate your Big Mike’s Steakhouse will be a critical ingredient to your success. We work alongside you as you go through this process to get your business up and running smoothly and to teach you the essentials of running a successful Big Mike’s franchise.

Succeeding at Big Mike’s means delivering a consistent experience that meets our high standards to our guests. We facilitate this with our comprehensive training program that is comprised of three phases of training. It begins with your pre-opening training at our corporate location in Thomasville, Alabama for key members of your team including your General Manager, Kitchen Manger, and Front of House Manager. Depending upon the position this training last between one to three weeks and incorporates all areas of training related to their area of responsibility.

The next phase is Opening Training and coincides with your restaurant opening.  Our training team will be on-site to support this vital time and to ensure that your managers and staff are properly trained and prepared and that guests are receiving a great experience. The third phase of training is ongoing support and includes operational reviews and feedback, updating operational and training materials and guidance for ongoing restaurant management including operational, financial and marketing support.

High Volume Location

With a high average unit volume and a business model centered on converting existing restaurants, Big Mike’s Steakhouse has developed a steakhouse niche within small town America. This high revenue, combined with sound operating systems and steak and seafood focused menu, make Big Mike’s a great franchise opportunity for those who are looking for a business that separates itself from copycat franchises.

Site Selection and Construction

The average size of a Big Mike’s Steakhouse is between 4,000 to 6,000 square feet.  We prefer a free standing unit or an end cap unit that has previously operated as a restaurant. We have a comprehensive site selection manual that you will receive as a franchisee that will guide you step by step on selecting your location, negotiating your lease and managing your construction.
